The Jura-Capresso Impressa S9 fully automatic bean-to-cup coffee machine continues Jura’s reputation for producing state-of-the-art machines and further cements their position as a premium brand.

That’s not all; it also incorporates state-of-the- art One Touch technology which allows to make cappuccino, cafe mocha, latte or latte macchiato at the touch of a button.

Actually the s9 is extremely easy to program, allowing you to adjust every drink to your individual taste using your favourite coffee blends and specialities. Simply use the dial to move through each programmable option on the LED display. The display has two lines, each displaying up to ten bright-red characters, making it really easy to read and providing simple instructions to help you navigate through all the menus in seven languages. Using the machine quickly becomes second nature, even for those with little or no experience of automatic coffee machines.

You can take as much control as you like with the option to tweek the settings to whatever degree you want, as all the functions including hot water, coffee, and frothing are all programmable, and you can also adjust the temperature, coffee volume and coffee strength for each button, while also being able to create a huge variety of coffee by simply using the one touch and basic options – without the need to trawl through the instructions for hours on end.

As always with Jura coffee machines, the s9 is superb. It incorporates a twin thermo block heating system, one supplies steam and the other supplies water for the coffee. This allows you to switch from one function to the other without any waiting time unlike many other machines which only have one heating system, necessitating a wait for the machine to heat up again after performing a single function.

It also has a commercial-grade conical burr grinder, automatic cleaning cycles and the claris water filtration system. As a result the need for decalcification is greatly reduced. It grinds, tamps and brews delicious crema coffee or espresso in seconds, and can produce one or two cups at a time, of a quality you would struggle to find in most coffee shops.

Attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the machine. For example, the coffee dispenser adjusts precisely to any cup size from 66 to 146mm, ensuring a perfectly soft, silky crema with every cup of coffee you make with the Jura s9, while at the same time it helps prevent splashing on the front panel of the machine.

The machine’s stainless steel body is also very easy to clean, only requiring a wipe-down with a damp cloth. Interior and exterior maintenance is made as trouble free as possible allowing you to enjoy great tasting coffee from a great looking machine day-in, day-out.

It’s understandable to baulk at the price tag – after all Jura coffee machines are not cheap – but when weighed against the quality, features, and versatility the machine provides, it’s worth every penny.
